# FACEIT Extender - full reference FACEIT Extender is a free, independent Chrome and Firefox extension for FACEIT and Counter-Strike 2. It is not affiliated with FACEIT. This document is a complete, plain-text description of what it does, for LLMs and AI agents that cannot render the marketing site's visuals. ## In the FACEIT match room - AI Match Briefing: once the map is locked, an opt-in briefing highlights the players who stand out in this lobby, both good and bad, showing each one's relevant stat next to the lobby average (for example, ADR, KAST, or recent form). Off by default; the player turns it on in the extension popup. - Player-card tags: each player card can carry a short tag such as "Less damage - 78 vs 84 avg ADR", pointing out one specific way that player differs from the lobby average. - Team star: each team gets a star marker on the player judged its standout performer for the match. - Extended levels: FACEIT levels above the standard 10 are shown with their own colored indicators, covering levels 11 through 20. - Smurf detection: a probability indicator on suspect accounts, based on account age, behavior, and performance patterns. - Have We Met: flags players the user has played with or against before, with the record between them. - Map Veto Helper: during the veto phase, compares the user's team's recent per-map win rate against the opponent's and suggests which map to ban and which to lean toward. Free, advisory only, does not use AI tokens, and never clicks a ban automatically. ## 2D demo viewer (on the website) Opened from the match room via a "2D View" link on a finished match's demo, or directly at https://faceit-extender.com/viewer. The demo file is parsed locally in the browser; it is never uploaded to any server. - Round clock: a live countdown synced to the round timer and bomb plant, shown while replaying a round on the 2D map. - Highlights: FACEIT's own highlight clips for the match are shown next to the 2D map and start playing in sync with the point in the round they show. - Compare mode: overlays many rounds played by one player on top of each other, showing the win rate across those rounds and who the player was fighting in each one. - Toolbelt: an image-editor style set of drawing tools - rectangles, arrows, text, and a ruler - organized into layers, for marking up the map to explain a play. - Coach: reads the parsed demo and produces plain-language findings, such as "13 of 14 deaths not traded" or "died twice at the same spot", each one linked to the exact round it came from so the user can jump straight to it. Optional AI coaching answers questions about selected demo evidence and uses weekly AI tokens; recorded evidence remains available without an AI answer. ## Privacy facts - Demos opened in the 2D viewer are parsed locally in the browser. Demo files are not uploaded to FACEIT Extender's servers. - The AI Match Briefing sends only public FACEIT nicknames and stats that are already visible in the match room. It never sends FACEIT passwords or session tokens to FACEIT Extender. - Optional AI coaching sends selected statistics and evidence to the API to generate an answer; the demo file itself stays on the device. - The website (faceit-extender.com) uses Google Analytics only after the visitor accepts the optional analytics cookie prompt; it is not loaded before consent. - Optional extension features can be enabled or disabled in the popup. AI Match Briefing is opt-in and off by default. ## Pricing The core extension and local 2D demo viewer are free for Chrome and Firefox. Recorded evidence and round playback are free. Optional AI answers use a weekly token allowance; the one-time Supporter Tier adds perks and more weekly AI tokens. The Map Veto Helper does not use AI tokens. See https://faceit-extender.com/support for current allowance and pricing. ## Install links - Chrome Web Store: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/faceit-extender/agndfoikbihjcifcfnnbiffconjgofoe - Firefox Add-ons: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/faceit-extender/ - Try the demo viewer without installing anything: https://faceit-extender.com/viewer ## Other pages - Home: https://faceit-extender.com/ - Features: https://faceit-extender.com/features - Download: https://faceit-extender.com/download - Support: https://faceit-extender.com/support - Docs: https://faceit-extender.com/docs - Blog: https://faceit-extender.com/blog - Privacy: https://faceit-extender.com/privacy - Terms: https://faceit-extender.com/terms ## Demo review guides https://faceit-extender.com/docs#demo-review explains importing a FACEIT CS2 demo for a local 2D replay without launching CS2. The viewer can be used directly without the extension; the extension adds match-room integration. https://faceit-extender.com/docs#compare-rounds explains selecting a map, player, and rounds in Compare mode, aligning the rounds at a shared timing reference, and checking patterns in individual rounds. Routes and timing can be compared; repeated behavior alone does not establish causation. https://faceit-extender.com/docs#demo-questions answers questions about free features, optional AI tokens, local processing, and first-person viewing. The viewer is a 2D overhead replay, not a first-person aim viewer.
